Into the Crease by Toni Aleo is book 12 of her Assassins series. Jenson Monroe is the perfect man. He has the looks, is a sincerely nice person, and the talented goal for the Assassins hockey team. He has everything he has ever wanted except for one thing: Wren Lemiere, one of his best friend’s little sister. He has been in love with her since he moved-in with her family as a teenager. Wren doesn’t do relationships. She is just looking for a good time. But her most-recent “good time” leaves her with a parting gift. Finding herself in the situation will cancel her inheritance if she not married. She turns to the nicest guy and most dependable man she know: Jenson.
Into the Crease has become my favorite of the series and trust me, I really liked Ellie’s and Shay’s story but, book #12, I feel in love with. This is quite an emotional journey told by in both Jenson’s and Wren’s point of view. Into the Crease is a story about friendship, trust, and of course, love. This is not your typical sports-themed book and can be read as a stand alone but if you have been reading the series, you are able to get updates on previous characters’ lives and stories which is an added bonus to the main story.
