Hunter Dennison has been in love with Molly since she was a little girl but was waiting until she was 18 to go after her (he is 3 years older). Molly has also been crushing on Hunter forever. Almost perfectly, Molly brings her college roommate home for a visit and makes plan to see Hunter later on the in the evening at a party. Everything comes crashing to a halt when Hunter believes one not so little live about Molly’s behavior at college without bothering to ask her if it was true. Hunter and Molly never connect. Fast forward 20 years to Hunter returning to him home town to work at the hospital and now has a little girl. Molly is now divorced after feeling that she never truly loved her ex-husband the way he deserved; she has a teenage and young daughter and is now running the family restaurant. Hunter and Molly reconnect and but not without a few bumps along the way.
Taking the Fall is book 2 of the Dennison series by W. Ferraro. It can be read as a standalone (which I did not knowing there was a previous book). Hunter’s character is dreamy and sexy. Molly is strong and perseveres no matter what happens. The book was well-written and flowed easily. It was a quick read as I read it over 2 days with real-life happening around me. Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was full of romance and had just enough suspense to keep me guessing. Taking the Fall is about getting a second chance at love. I would recommend it and I personally now plan on going back and reading book 1 of the series.

I live in New England with my young family. I’m a stay at home mom to two very active children. For all of you who are familiar with the stress of this job, I decided to complete an item on my bucket list and write a book. When I’m not writing, you will find me cooking, reading, shopping or being silly with the kids. In my opinion, one of life’s greatest pleasure is being able to get lost in a book.
