Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.
Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.
Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.
I can't wait for you to read this one dear followers. Every time Devney Perry releases a new book in the Jamison Valley series, I think, "That's it. This one is my favorite." but once again, she has proven that her stories only get better and better. Beau Holt carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. You can always can't on him and he is the first one others ask for help from. Beau finds himself offering his help once again. This time, it is Felicity's friend Sabrina who is on the run for an investigative report she just published. Beau takes Sabrina up to a remote outpost only used by fire fighters to hid out. What Beau didn't know was that Sabrina was about to shake-up his quiet world. Beau and Sabrina spend a lot of time alone and try to fight their attraction to each other. Beau really wants to build something with Sabrina but she's a city girl, and eventually returns to the city. Once again Beau is called to Sabrina's rescue.
I can't say enough about this book or the whole series. Devney knows how to write the "perfect" man that every reader will swoon over and trust me, once you read Beau's story, you will swoon. The Outpost can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the whole series and getting to know the men of Jamison Valley.
