Tempting, inked and highly addictive. Alex is all that and more… I’ve made a lot of mistakes – ones I’m not proud of, and definitely ones that have left their marks both mentally and physically. Things got lonely; I got lost in my own fucked up mind and in the end it left me fucked out of my mind and unable to fight – or at least win. That life’s over for me and I’ve moved on. Six months into tattooing at Blue’s and already I’m the most wanted and sought out tattooist. My biggest clientele consists of women. They come into the shop, end up in my bed and we both come out happy. It’s been my release since I’ve stopped fighting. It’s become part of the “new” me. But when Tripp reappears in my life, I can’t deny the fact that I would do anything for that girl. So when she asks me to move in with her and her ‘boyfriend’ – our other childhood friend – I never expected for things to get so fucked up and twisted that I would find myself only more attracted to her by each passing second or wanting to protect her from everything that isn’t me. I have worked so hard over the years to suppress my feelings for her but when I find out that her and Lucas have been having an open relationship, I have the strong urge to rip his heart straight from his chest – to destroy the very thing that keeps him breathing. What I didn’t expect was for Lucas to ask what he did. For him to ask me to do the one thing I have secretly longed for since I was old enough to know what the need was. The second thing I never expected was the look of need that I saw in Tripp’s eyes when he asked. One night of free passion could change our lives forever. I never said that was a good thing either… I hear my door push open, but I’m too tired to acknowledge it. It can’t be any later than seven thirty in the morning, so I just stay lying on my stomach. I hear something get set down on my computer desk before I feel the bed dip down next to me. It must be Lucas saying goodbye before he has to get ready for work. Groaning, I reach out and grip his upper thigh, surprised at how hard and thick it feels in my hand. I guess I never really paid his legs much attention before. “Ughhhh… my head. Why did you give me all those shots last night? I feel like hell.” I run my hand up higher, stopping just below his package. Why does he feel so good right now? “You look like hell too,” Alex says playfully. Shocked, I let go of his thigh and grip onto the sheet to cover my bare breasts, while maneuvering my way to my knees. I almost forgot that Alex finally moved his stuff in last night. Man, I really must’ve had a few too many shots. “Crap, Alex. I thought you were Lucas.” I reach up with one hand to cover my face as my head starts pounding. “I guess I drank a little too much last night.” I pull my hand away and squint from the light shining in my room. “I almost grabbed your dick, Alex. You weren’t even going to say anything?” Grinning, Alex stands up, and I can’t help but to notice how sexy he looks, wearing only a tight pair of boxer briefs. Not only do I get him as a roommate, but now I’ll also have to see him running around in his underwear. Talk about a distraction. “Just a few too many.” He runs his hand through his wet hair. “And I’m not going to stop something that feels good. I’m sure your hand was enjoying it too much. Now sit up straight.” I watch as Alex walks over to my desk and grabs a plate and a glass of something. My head hurts too much to even pay attention to his words. “What’s this?” I ask as he sets the plate on my lap. “You made me breakfast?” He sets the glass down on the nightstand beside me and I peek over to see that it’s orange juice. “Yeah.” Without another word, he walks into the bathroom. I almost think he’s going back to his room, until he emerges a few seconds later, holding something in his hand. He places two pills into my hand and crosses his arms over his chest. “Ibuprofen. Take those and eat your food.” Not questioning him, I do as told. The first bite of food causes me to smile at its deliciousness. “Oh my goodness, Alex.” I point down at the toast before taking another bite and quickly chewing it. “This is absolutely delicious. Wow.” He smiles. “Tell me something I don’t know.” I toss a piece of egg at his head. “Cocky much?” I laugh as he grabs my hand and takes a bite of the eggs that I was just about to eat. “Very much so.” He chews the eggs and rubs a hand over his stiff abs. “What you doing before work?” “I was going to stop by and visit Tara. You want to come with?” He nods his head and starts backing away to the bathroom. “Yeah. I’m sure she misses the shit out of me.” I laugh, accidently spitting the mouthful of toast out. “Seriously?” I cover my mouth and smile. “It’s only been like a week. Trust me, she does not miss you.” He flashes me his dimples. “We’ll see about that.” He gets ready to walk out of my room, but stops and grabs onto the frame. “Oh and Lucas left for work already. He said he’ll see you around one.” Figures he wouldn’t say bye. “Alright… thanks.” I take a sip of my orange juice. “I’ll shower after I eat and then we can go. Sound good?” “Everything out of your mouth sounds good.” He attempts to catch the egg in his mouth as I throw it at him. “You have a horrible aim. I’m going to go downstairs and work out for about twenty minutes and then take a quick shower. I’ll shower downstairs so I don’t slow you down.” Eyeing his body up and down, I swallow, remembering the dirty sounds coming from the downstairs shower last night. I tried so hard to block them out, but it was pretty hard to miss. I have to admit that hearing Alex fuck, both turned me on and bothered me at the same time. A part of me wanted to imagine myself taking her place, while the other part wanted to pretend that I wasn’t imagining it at all. Then Lucas came up here saying dirty things to me about Alex… once again, turning me on so bad that I practically knocked him down and jumped on his dick. We had wild, meaningless sex, and then I sent him down to his room. Sleeping in the same bed as Lucas is something that I haven’t done yet. I’ve only slept next to Alex, and for some reason… I want to keep it that way for now. “Sounds good. We can take your truck.” I smile while taking another bite of food. “You just can’t get enough of my awesome driving, can you? You like it fast and wild.” He winks. “I like that.” I point my fork at him. “Just hurry up so we can get going.” “Sure thing, babe.” He dodges out of my room, leaving me grinning from ear to ear. He always has a way of making me smile. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him. Victoria Ashley grew up in Rockford, IL and has had a passion for reading for as long as she can remember. From the New York Times bestselling author of the Reapers Motorcycle Club and Silver Valley series comes an anthology of extras and never-before-released material, including a new short story featuring fan favorites Horse and Marie.
Charming Bastard: A Novella
I first met Riley Boone when I was four years old. We moved to Callup, Idaho after my dad blew out his back and had to go on disability. Boonie’s family lived next to ours. Every afternoon he’d swagger off the school bus after kindergarten like a conquering king. For the first week he ignored me, until I impressed him by climbing nearly thirty feet up in the tree behind his trailer. They had to call the fire department to get me down, but it was worth it to see the respect in his five-year-old eyes. He gave me a worm in honor of my accomplishment. I fell in love. The next day he made me eat the worm and our relationship has been complicated ever since.
(Until now, this novella has been exclusively available in the paperback edition of Silver Bastard.)

I passed through the living room and started down the hallway toward the kitchen.
“Babe, you in here?”
“In the back,” she replied, her voice faint. Entering the kitchen, I knew something was wrong as soon as I saw her face. Her eyes were red and puffy, and she seemed out of it—almost dazed.
“What the fuck’s going on?” I asked. She jumped, looking toward me with something like fear in her expression. Jesus, had someone hurt her? A burst of adrenaline rushed through me—nobody touched my woman. I’d fucking kill them. She didn’t say anything, though. “Marie?”
She shook herself, almost as if she needed to wake up.
“Sorry, I was sort of lost in my thoughts.”
“What’s going on?”
She stared at me for several seconds, her mouth tight.
“We need to talk.”
Great—words every man loves to hear. So much for my “welcome home” blow job.
“About what?” I asked warily.
“Sit down,” she murmured, glancing away from me. “You want a beer?”
Up to that point, a beer had been damned high on my list of priorities. Now? Not so much. I pulled out a chair at the big wooden block that served as our kitchen table and sat down with a thump, leaning back. Then I crossed my arms over my chest.
“So let’s talk,” I told her, forcing myself to stay patient. Marie swallowed, then reached for the cup of tea sitting on the block in front of her, taking a nervous sip.
“Okay, so here goes,” she said quietly, refusing to look at me. “We’ve got some big changes ahead of us. You need to remember that it just happened, babe. It’s not like I did it on purpose. Please remember that.”

Grace Cantrell is a self-destructive exhibitionist uncomfortable in her own skin. Jason Wright is a fine-art photographer living life from behind his lens.
When Grace agrees to be the centerpiece for Jason's next gallery show, she unlocks his creative muse and dark sexual cravings. As Grace and Jason come together in a fusion of passion and art, they find themselves slowly breaking out of their carefully constructed cages, forcing Grace to confront the ghosts of her past.
As Jason captures what he most wants on film, can he capture it in real life? And can Grace risk exposing more than just her skin?
“Does anyone actually like you when they meet you?” Grace challenged.
“I think I like you like this.” Jason laughed. “Not like last weekend when the cat had your tongue.”
“If only I could say the same.”
“You like me. I’m sure of that.”
“Yeah?” Her brow quirked. “What part of this exchange is leading you to this great understanding?”
“Because I walked over here staring right at your crotch.” He looked her straight in the eyes. “And I think you not only knew … but you liked it. Being the exhibitionist that you are. Such nice red panties, Kiki. Are they wet?”
She closed her eyes and breathed in deep. It was all she could do to still the erotic shiver.
“Know what else I think?” Voice low, he didn’t wait for her to answer. “I think you’d like to hike your skirt up and show yourself to me. Right here, right now. Wouldn’t you?”

What Others Are Saying:
“This story sucked me in and didn’t let go. I was hooked from the first heartbreaking scene and after real life intervened, I was anxious to get back to this story. I had to see what happened. I needed to see Ryker and Mackenzie and their boys happy.” ~ A is for Alpha B is for Books
“This was so far up my street I could have been neighbours!!! Holy Moly what an absolute stonker… loved it!
It took me just one chapter to fall head over heels for this book and one day to finish what is one of the most realistically pitched stories that I have engaged with for a while.” ~ Books Laid Bare
“Wow! What a way to start a book off —the moment I read that sentence, geez the prologue, I was hooked! Hooked in the sense that I finished this book in one day. I couldn’t put it down.” ~ Smut- Brarians
Ryker and Mackenzie Steele have been together and married for close to 20 years. Ryker, who was little more than a criminal when he married Mackenzie, has built up a mechanic shop that now one of the most successful and sought out shops in the nation. The business success had provided Mackenzie the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom to her now teenage-aged boys. But Mackenzie now finds herself questioning her marriage. She loves Ryker, but is she still in love with him? Does he still love her? She has put on a few pounds over the years and no longer feels attractive and to make matters worse, Ryker and her have been having a dry spell in the bedroom. She remembers when they were young and couldn’t get enough of each other. Mackenzie begins to question her life, her marriage, and herself. Mackenzie asks Ryker to move out for a while so that she can think and try to gain some clarity on where her life is at currently and what she’d like to see in the future. Ryker feels completely blindsided by Mackenzie’s request but he will do anything she requests. Both Mackenzie and Ryker have a lot to think about, especially where their future together is concerned. Even though Ryker was once in an MC, this isn’t what one might think of when reading your more traditional motorcycle club books. Ryker, Steele Brothers #1, really is an emotional journey between a middle-aged couple trying to learn who each other are and find their ways back to each other. It really does deal with realistic, hard to deal with, let alone, think about situations. Ryker began a journey to see where he had gone wrong in his marriage drawing on experiences and the advice of many other people. Mackenzie also starts to see herself as an individual person again, not just the stay-at-home mother and wife of Ryker Steele. The ending is a HEA but it was a bumpy road getting there that was beautifully written by Cheryl Douglass.
When one door closes, another one opens. I closed the door to my business for the last time in 2011, which left me with a decision. What now? Find another location and move my nutrition business, go to work for someone else, or take a chance on my dream? I chose the latter and I’ve never looked back!
I’ve always loved reading and writing, but it wasn’t until I jumped in with both feet and decided writing would be my career, instead of just a hobby, that my muse woke up from her deep slumber.
It was like someone flipped a switch inside my head and stories just came pouring out. At the end of the day, I would often look at the keyboard and wonder, ‘Who the heck wrote that? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure it wasn’t me!’
I don’t write books. I tell stories, or rather, I allow my characters to tell their stories through me. I’m not a plotter, never have been, never will be. Why? Because I have no idea how the story will evolve and it’s not my place to manipulate it. My job is to get to know these characters, figure out what makes them tick, then follow their journey wherever it takes me.
When I’m not writing, I’m daydreaming. Thankfully, I have an understanding husband and son who know I’ll re-join the land of the living just as soon as my muse decides it’s quitting time. I don’t work for myself. I work for her. She’s the boss. And I’m okay with that.

My 5 Star Review
Wishful Thinking was a touching story that dealt with love, acceptance, and perseverance. The main character Lexi is a nurse on a pediatric oncology floor. She has personally dealt with Cancer and losing a family member as her twin sister died from Cancer when she was a little girl. Lexi has a reputation of granting wished to the children with Cancer that she also takes care of. In an attempt to brighten one of her patients that has been in and out of the hospital, she asks another patient’s dad who is a promoter, to get her concert tickets and back stage passes to Dragon Knights, her patient Ben’s favorite rock group. When Lexi finds herself back stage, she finds the lead singer, Kaleb Knight and ask him to come see Ben at the hospital. Kaleb is a jerk to her. She reluctantly leaves feeling defeated. BUT, Kaleb does come to the hospital to meet Ben. He also comes to see the little spit-fire nurse who showed-up after his concert. Kaleb begins to relentlessly pursue Lexi, even after she blows him off. Eventually, Lexi gives in.
Wishful Thinking started little slow for me but then picked up. After I got into it, I really enjoyed the story. It focused on all the characters and how they dealt with Cancer whether it being children or adults. Ms. Duran’s characters really drew strength from one another and these relationships were written and conveyed beautifully. I really enjoyed how nursing wasn’t just a job to Lexi but a calling, to not only help sick children medically, but also pull the strings to whatever they requested to be there wish. I also thought the relationship that developed between Lexi and Kaleb touching. She convinced Kaleb that he was worth fighting for regardless what had happened to him personally in the past. Wishful Thinking was an emotional reading journey but the end was well worth it.

He sucks in a deep breath before saying, “Do you think there are stars in heaven?”
“Of course there are. There is anything your little heart desires.”
“Even my hot fudge sundaes?” His question causes me to lightly laugh. Of course he asks about his favorite dessert that he has been craving for the past month.
“Even your hot fudge sundaes,” I reply. “Before you know it, you’ll be having a stomach ache from eating too much sugar.”
This causes his mother to whimper as she struggles against surrendering to the breaking point. She’s always fought to not break down in front of Braden. She doesn’t want him to see how upset this entire situation makes her.
He brightens from the response, his eyes returning to the show above us. The entire time my view is locked on the little angel in front of me, knowing everything I’ve done tonight to make this possible is still not enough for him. He deserves more. He deserves a lifetime worth of years to gaze up at the stars, not borrowed hours as we wait, wondering when the end will come.
Unfortunately, the wait wasn’t long. Braden took his last breath two days later. I was at his side, holding his mother’s hand when he gave his last smile before closing his eyes for the final time. He took a piece of my heart with him at that very moment, but they all have.

Series: UnInhibited #2.5
Author: Kimberly Bracco
Genre: Contemporary Romance Novella
Release Date: September 18, 2015
The road to happily ever after hasn't been easy for the Garrisons. Blissfully married with a baby on the way, this should be the happiest time in their lives. Except, Ashley can't fully escape the dark shadows of their past. Will Ashley and Tanner be forced to endure more heartache or will they finally be freed?
Freed, UnInhibited Novella picks up right after the second book of the series, Unrestricted UnInhibited #2). Tanner and Ashley are now married and expecting their second baby. Ashley is almost neurotically cautious worried that something will happen to this baby like it did with baby Daniel. They have to work through the struggle of this all the while why Tanner is winning the Super Bowl and an MVP player. There are still lots of hot scenes between Ashley and Tanner. Tanner has not lost his filthy mouth (thank goodness).
There are a lot of funny scenes in Freed and laugh out loud moments during the whole book. It really was a funny look at pregnancy. My favorite parts involved the first trip to the OBGYN and when Ashley decides that she is done being pregnant and proceeds to tell Tanner exactly how he is getting the baby out of her. Quinn was mouthy as always ready with one-liners and her new exposure to all things pregnancy. If you loved the first two books, you will not be disappointed in this novella. We also get a little sneak-peak into a future novel surrounding Quinn and Alex’s relationship, which I can’t wait for. I really did love this book and my only complaint is I wish it were longer.

Abra cadabra...My name is Margaux Asher--and I'm in love. Crazy, right? Me, the girl who grew up in the lap of luxury and the shadow of cynicism, is now head-over-heels for an apple farmer's son who rocks my world and steals my breath. He's seen the woman beneath the princess, and loves me--for me. Trouble is...he wants all of me. But how can I commit that to him if I don't know what "me" is? There are pieces missing--and not just mine. Until Michael opens up and shares all of himself, we're a great opening explosion, but not a lasting magic tale. Don't look at the man behind the curtain... My name is Michael Pearson--and I'm in love. Margaux is the fire of my dreams, the fulfillment of my fantasies, and the woman who's asked the impossible. When your past has been hell, how is it possible to walk through it again? But fighting it isn't an option--especially when the ghosts rise up and battle back. Especially when fate issues an ultimatum: battle back, or lose her forever. Can I do it? Is love enough to change a person's soul, or will our magic become a forgotten moment for us both?

Angel PayneHi there. I'm Angel: book lover, writing addict, hopeless romantic, pop culture geek and avid shoe lover. **I have a monthly newsletter now! It's a cool way to get exclusive info, talk hot heroes, learn about new items in the Angel Payne store, talk hot heroes, further the pie or cake debate...and oh yeah, did I mention talking hot heroes? A bit about me... I've been hooked on books since I was a kid but it got worse in my twenties, when I discovered romances--the hotter, the better. Growing up in Southern California, with lots of surfer manliness surrounded me, was certainly a good boost for reading about delicious alpha guys and the women who adore them. When I learned I had a knack for telling these stories too, I guess you could say I was doomed--though my path toward romance novelist took a few detours via a concert-reviewing gig for my college newspaper (free show tickets...backstage passes...that was a no-brainer), artist interviews for a Beverly Hills dance music mag, personal assistant work for a record producer, dance club disc jockey, and a lot of fun in the hospitality industry. These days, I still live in California, and have found an amazing alpha guy of my own who was brave enough to marry me. We live on a street that looks like Brigadoon, with our beautiful daughter. I have the best life ever, and never forget to thank the Big Guy Upstairs for it, either.
Victoria BlueVictoria Blue lives in her own portion of the galaxy known as Southern California. There she finds the love and life sustaining power of one amazing sun, two unique and awe inspiring planets and three indifferent, yet comforting moons. Life is fantastic and challenging and everyday brings new adventures to be discovered. She looks forward to seeing what's next!
