Forever Romance
The fur is about to fly between a cheerful cat sitter and a grumpy hockey nerd in this hilarious and charming rom-com from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting.
Fortunately, Miles Thorn is just as bad at first impressions. Strike one: he doesn’t like cats, especially Prince Francis, the haughty and mischievous Sphynx his mom left in his care. Strike two: tackling her to the floor in a misguided attempt to save the pet he continually calls “the gremlin.”
As awkwardness slides into attraction and things start to turn purr-sonal, will these two complete opposites ever be able to find their furry-tail ending?

A Love Catastrophe is a feel-good, sweet, romantic story about Miles Holden and Kitty, the Kitty Whisper. Kitty is internet famous as a knowledgeable, cat-loving, professional cat sitter if you will. Miles reaches out to her when he needs help taking care of his mother's cat Prince Francis (who could probably have a novella all about him and his antics). Miles and Kitty didn't hit it off and honestly, it took me a while to warm up to Miles but he eventually won me over (stick with him; he is worth the journey). Kitty and Miles begin a partnership taking care of Prince Francis and working on his naughty behavior. As they open up, a friendship develops and one night when Kitty needs Miles, he is very glad to help her out. The books had several different facets that I really thought brought the whole thing together. Both Miles and Kitty were dealing with guilt related to their parents. Kitty was really hanging onto the past and was kind of stuck but there were several things that happened during the book that helped get her moving again and even helped her career-wise. I also liked how supportive Miles was when Kitty was hurting emotionally. He did everything in his power to either shield her from what was going on or to make things easier for her. This story also shows the positive side of not going the "norm" and being confident enough to be yourself as well as poke fun at yourself, which Kitty does. I felt happy and giddy after reading A Love Catastrophe.
