K.K. Allen
Release Date: February 24
Anderson Bexley was the love of my life… or so I thought.
For years, I convinced myself that one day he would see me as more than the bubbly activities director at his family’s campground.
Sure, he was ten years older.
Deeply tortured.
And far too devoted to the family business to make time for his own happiness.
But none of that mattered. Especially during that one blissful night when he was all mine.
I thought our forever had finally begun, but he broke my heart instead.
A year later, I’m moving on.
In a new city.
At a new job.
With a new man.
Add in a promotion that lands me my first big account, and things can’t possibly get better.
Until I hear my first client is none other than Anderson Bexley...
Now, I’m heading back to a place I had once called home.
Back to Camp Bexley.
Back to him.
Only this time, I’m determined to walk away on my own terms… with my heart intact.
Weight of Regret is the first book of K.K. Allen's that I have read. Anderson Hexley is bringing life back into his family's camp. He is updating, expanding, and adding things to make it the camp that he and his brothers always dreamed of growing-up. Now all he needs is a marketing expert. Enter Hope. Hope worked for Anderson a year ago but after revealing her love for Anderson and being rejected by him, she has left the island to live in Seattle. Now she has a fancy job, a new man in her life and she is living the dream she always wanted. Imagine both Anderson's and Hope's surprise when Hope is hired to help with marketing at the camp. Soon old feelings bubble-up and Hope and Anderson work to see if they can truly be together and how they can get their HEA.
Weight of Regret was good once I got into it. I did feel like I was joining Anderson's and Hope's story after it had already started; liked I had missed something. I don't know if that was because it was my first K.K. book or what exactly.
