Ravished (the Teplo Files #1) is the first book in a trilogy by Ayden Morgen; it does end in a cliffhanger. The story revolves around âLillyâ Lillian Maddox. Lilly was an upcoming ballerina headlining ballets around the world when it was savaging taken from her by someone she trusted but was involved in drugs. Tristan Riley is an intense under-cover DEA agent driven by revenge working to bring down a local drug lord that is slowing killing off young men and women with his deadly combination drugs. Lilly and Tristan meet in the drug dealerâs club and sparks fly. Lily soon ends up working with Tristan to try and bring the drug lord down.
Tristan is your typical alpha-male. He is cocky, fierce, and protective, especially in regard to Lilly. Lilly is working on becoming strong and self-sustaining, trying to figure out where she belongs in the world without ballet. There is a lot of back-and-forth between the two characters. Sometimes, Tristan can be a bit overbearing. There were lots of hot scenes between Lilly and Tristan because underneath it all, the really did feel a connection between each other. The writing was interesting and the story kept me interested. Ms. Mooreâs writing is fluid and engaging; she has a knack for storytelling. I will definitely read the second and third book to the trilogy to see where she takes Lilly and Tristan.
